Beginners Improver March 2020 Trail Running Weekend

It’s going to be a really fun couple of days trail running, out in a very beautiful part of Wales, I do a fair amount of running out there and know some lovely trails which show the mountains and lakes at their best.

The weekend is designed for beginners who have done some trail running and want to improve, so we’ll be running slightly higher mileage than on my beginners weekend, around 8 to 10 miles.

The terrain is mixed but won’t be overly challenging and we won’t be running up any mountains!

So apart from running what else is included?

Well first and foremost the weekend will be a friendly group event of around 12 to 14 people.

We’ll have a run on both days, with plenty of time to recover too and now I’m also offering a night run on Friday for those who would like to get out running straight away!

Breakfast and lunches are included on Saturday and Sunday and a 2 course evening meal will be provided on Friday and Saturday evenings

All of our meals are cooked by our private chef.

After eating if you want to visit the local inn it’s only 12 minutes walk away which has a fantastic selection of gin, wine, beer, lager and whiskies, along with a superb atmosphere.

All of the food we provide can be catered to your own specific needs, should you have any, and it will all be nutritionally designed for runners..

I’m a UK Athletics qualified running coach and will be able to provide key info that will improve your trail running style along with the way you run on the roads.

During the weekend I’ve arranged a guest speaker to join us for part of the weekend to provide useful running related information, which I know you’ll find beneficial (Previous weekends have included yoga and mindfulness sessions, sports therapy treatments, or Indian Head and neck massage with Reiki)

Next up, you’ll be able to sit in and take advantage of a masterclass on running nutrition. We will cover many of the questions runners ask when it comes to nutrition, how to prepare meals that actually help, what to eat while running, how to avoid upset stomachs while running, what to eat during training, as well as before, during and after your race and also how to provide the right nutrition during a taper period, along with lots of other useful tips and strategies.

Your accommodation is also included in the price, and we will be staying at a mountaineering club hut in Capel Curig, nestled in some really ancient oak woods, in Snowdonia National Park, the price is £189.99 per person for the full weekend, over the 20th, 21st and 22nd March 2020.
