It’s going to be a really fun couple of days trail running, out in a very beautiful part of Wales, I do a fair amount of running out there and know some lovely trails which show the mountains and lakes at their best.
And if you’ve already heard of my beginners trail running events you’ll know how popular they are and the high standard we set, which has earnt us over 100 five star reviews on facebook. Read on to find out why our guests keep coming back…
Who is the weekend designed for?
The weekend is designed for beginners who have done some trail running and want to improve, so we’ll be running slightly higher mileage than on my beginners weekend, around 10 miles on Saturday and 6 to 8 miles on Sunday.
The terrain is mixed but won’t be overly challenging and we won’t be running up any mountains!
So apart from running what else is included?
Well first and foremost the weekend will be a friendly group event of around 15 – 18 people.
We’ll have a run on both days, with plenty of time to recover too.
Breakfast and lunches are included on Saturday and Sunday and a 2 course evening meal will be provided on Friday and Saturday evenings.
All of our meals are cooked by our private chef and can be catered to your own specific needs, should you have any, and it will all be nutritionally designed for runners.
After eating if you want to visit the local inns they’re only down the lane, and have fantastic selections of gin, wine, beer, lager and whiskies, along with superb atmospheres too.
We’ll be covering how to run the trails too, with coaching advice both ‘in the field’ and back at our accommodation.
You’ll also benefit from coaching advice from Geoff, a UK Athletics running coach and author of the Amazon top 10 in category ebook – The Runners Guide to injury Free Running.
During the weekend I’ve arranged a guest speaker to join us for part of the weekend to provide useful running related information, which I know you’ll find beneficial (Previous weekends have included yoga and mindfulness sessions, sports therapy treatments, or Indian Head and neck massage with Reiki).
What did one of our guests, Liz, think of her weekend with us…?
Next up, you’ll be able to sit in and take advantage of a masterclass on a running subject, previous masterclasses have covered nutrition, injury avoidance and slowing down to speed up. We will cover many of the questions runners ask when it comes to nutrition, how to prepare meals that actually help, what to eat while running, how to avoid upset stomachs while running, what to eat during training, as well as before, during and after your race and also how to provide the right nutrition during a taper period, along with lots of other useful tips and strategies.
Accommodation and Location
Your accommodation is also included in the price, and we will be staying at a beautiful Victorian hostel in the picture postcard village of Betws y Coed, in Snowdonia National Park, the price is £199.99 per person for the full weekend.
Should you want to secure a private room for 2, 3 or 4 people these are available on a per person supplemental basis, please send firstname.lastname@example.org a message for more details about this.
I look forward to running with you on 30th July to 1st August 2021!
