Beginners Improver APRIL 2019 Trail Running Weekend

It’s going to be a really fun couple of days trail running, out in a very beautiful part of Wales, I do a fair amount of running out there and know some lovely trails which show the mountains and lakes at their best.

The weekend is designed for beginners who have done some trail running and want to improve, so we’ll be running slightly higher mileage than on my beginners weekend, around 8 to 10 miles per run.

The terrain is mixed with some height gain but won’t be overly challenging and we won’t be running up any mountains!

So apart from running what else is included?

Well first and foremost the weekend will be a friendly group event of around 12 to 14 people.

We’ll have a run on both days, with plenty of time to recover too.

Breakfast and lunches are included on Saturday and Sunday.
Evening meals are available at a local inn 12 minutes walk away which serves local Welsh food along with a superb atmosphere.

All of the food we provide can be catered to your own specific needs, should you have any, and it will all be nutritionally designed for runners.

We’ll be covering how to run the trails too, with coaching advice both ‘in the field’ and back at our accommodation.

I’m a UK Athletics qualified running coach and will be able to provide key info that will improve your trail running style along with the way you run on the roads.

During the weekend I’ll be holding gait analysis sessions for each runner, we’ll be really drilling down to give you specific actionable advice that will improve your running mechanics and help you run even more efficiently.

Next up, you’ll be able to take advantage of a masterclass on trail running techniques.
These will help improve your trail and also your road running, which also helps with building running strength.

Your accommodation is also included in the price, and we will be staying at a mountaineering club hut in Capel Curig, nestled in some really ancient oak woods, in Snowdonia national park, the price is £159.99 per person for the full weekend, and everything above (except your evening meals) is included.
